A far cry from my school days in Southsea when the local team were the object of much derision.

Back then, it was like the Billy Conolly sketch, where he remembers as a child thinking the name of his own hapless team was 'Partick Thistle Nil'. But luckily for the season-ticket holders at Fratton Park, times change.

I believe Partick are still crap, though.
